Seeded Paper Making and Reflection

  • Handcraft Studio School 10368 San Pablo Avenue El Cerrito, CA, 94530 United States (map)

In this class students will make seeded paper gift tags utilizing local flower seeds and beautiful papers that are imbued with each students individual reflections on their hopes, feelings, and thoughts related to Spring and seasonal change. In this special Mother’s Day class, space will also be given to recognize how our connections to our mothers, to being mothers, and to our wider thoughts related to mothering impact how we demonstrate care, connection, and love, both to others and to ourselves.

Especially geared towards beginners, this class equips all students with the space to consider the ways that the change in the season/weather impacts their sense of belonging. Through guided mindfulness exercises in the class, and opportunities for reflective engagement, students will not only take home their seeded papers, but also handouts linked to self care, the guided imagery, and the open ended prompts utilized during the letter writing activity that link the activity back to seasonal change and growth.

The class fee covers all materials costs, including the costs of all additional take home items. Due to the nature of the conversations that will be had, this class is restricted to adults.
