Individual Therapy: There are times when all that is needed is a little more self kindness, self care, and curiosity. Through therapy we create room for you to move into these gentler spaces of being as we explore how negative emotional states have taken hold. Mary Oliver framed it best by asking us “What do you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” In therapy that question leads the way as I believe in providing the space for thoughtful and authentic engagement, in which we together create a relationship cemented in acceptance and trust as you identify what shape your future will take.

Areas of Focus:

  • Grief processing

  • Self care and coping skills

  • Parenting

  • Life transitions

  • Mindfulness

Perinatal Focused Therapy: In supporting many individuals and couples through all stages of family planning and pregnancy, including infertility, miscarriage/pregnancy loss, infant loss, and family conflict during pregnancy, it has become only more evident that psychotherapy is a critical component of all pregnancy care. When the process of building our families leads to greater feelings of emotional disconnect from our partners and loved ones, and from our dreams for our futures, perinatal therapy can offer the space to delve deeply into our emotional responses to hope and loss as we build the internal resources to manage the stresses and uncertainties of our futures.

Feminist Focused Therapy: With a second Master’s degree in Women and Gender Studies from San Francisco State University (2010) I weave feminist concepts into my work, looking at wider social constructs that shape our identities, hopes, and aspirations. I believe that context matters. I believe firmly in empowering my clients to advocate for their needs and wishes. And through these strong beliefs I bring forth my feminist focus, and create the space for you to investigate your narrative and history safely and with purpose.
